Fall Online Writing Workshop
Writing workshop is currently full as of 8/1, please submit a registration form to be added to the waitlist.
The Roberts Wesleyan College School of Education is offering students currently in grades 7-12 the opportunity to participate in a 10-week online writing workshop experience to foster students’ growth as writers.
- September 21st through November 16th
- For students in grades 7-12
- Registration Fee: FREE!
This workshop includes highly trained and certified NYS teachers tutoring students in grades 7-12, one-on-one, in an online learning environment such as Google Classroom. The teachers are pursuing Master’s Degrees in Literacy Education. These teachers will prepare and teach weekly craft lessons, provide helpful writing tips, and work to motivate students as writers. The teachers and students will establish a safe learning environment conducive for taking students writing to the next level. As part of participation in the workshop or tutoring experience, students will need to commit to submitting one piece of writing a week. The teachers will then provide detailed feedback and lessons to develop each student’s writing. This is about a 10-week time commitment.
If you are interested in having your child (children) attend, please fill out the attached registration form (one for each child). Space is limited, so please register by September 14th.
