Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to own a piano to take lessons?
We prefer for all students studying piano to own one. If you do not have access to a piano, a full-sized (88 keys) weighted keyboard with pedals is sufficient. You must be able to practice outside of lessons each week.

I cannot start lessons at the start of the term. Can I register later on?
Yes, we can pro-rate you based on your start date and how many weeks are left in the term. Our fall and spring terms are 16 and 18 weeks long respectfully. Our summer term is 10 weeks, and students must enroll in a minimum of 6 weeks.

Do you rent instruments?
We do not rent instruments. If you need to rent, contact the following locations:

I'm not sure my child is ready for lessons. Are there trial lessons available?
We highly encourage signing up for a trial lesson before enrolling in a term. We want all students in the RCMS to find success and have fun!

Do you have tuition assistance for lessons and classes?
Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have a tuition assistance program. We do offer discounts for families who enroll more than 3 children.
