What Will I Learn?

This Master's in Literacy Education stresses both the teaching of effective reading and writing skills as well as assessment, teaching strategies, and critiquing books. You will strengthen your skills through classroom discussion, online assignments, and supervised practice in the Literacy Clinic as well.

Elizabeth Stevens, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Education

During her graduate work, Elizabeth taught sixth grade in the Fayetteville-Manlius School District for five years.  She has published articles in the Journal of Adult & Adolescent Literacy and Journal of Research on Technology in Education.  Dr. Stevens is a member of the International Literacy Association, Literacy Research Association, Reading League, and Rochester Area Literacy Council.
