All students who meet eligibility requirements can get some type of financial aid regardless of age or family income. Federal student aid is financial aid from the federal government and is your first and best resource for funding your education.
To apply for Federal aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov each year.

Federal Student Aid consists of three types:
- Grants are financial aid awards that typically do not have to be repaid.
- Work Study allows you to earn money for your education.
- Loans allow you to borrow money for your education. You must repay your loans, with interest.
