Begin your journey to become a fully licensed Nursing Home Administrator in New York State (NYS) with this 5-course sequence offered completely online. Roberts Wesleyan University is one of the few colleges/universities in New York State to offer all five courses required by NYS Department of Health (DOH). Among other qualifications for licensure, applicants must also have a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.   • Cost per credit hour: $435/credit hour
  • Total cost for all five courses (19 credits) = $8265

NOTE: Students taking the Nursing Home Administration non-degree courses as a sequence (separate from a degree program) are not eligible for Financial Aid (loans or grants).

Roberts Graduates Pursuing NHA Licensure

Roberts Health Administration, B.S. (BHA) graduates pursuing NHA licensure can continue on to complete the Health Administration, M.S. (MHA), which includes three of the five courses required by NYS:

  • MHA 580 - Health Care Financial Management (5crs / 8 wks)
  • MHA 600 - Health Policy, Ethics, and Law (4crs / 6 wks)
  • MHA 610 - Human Resources for Health Care Professionals (3crs / 5 wks)

If you already completed the MHA program, you only have two more courses to complete:

  • NHA 450 – Nursing Home Administration (4crs / 8wks)
  • SOC 300 NH - Gerontology (3crs / 8wks)
