2015 Habitat for Humanity Trip

In mid-February, my wife and I had the opportunity to take 10 Roberts Wesleyan students on our annual Habitat for Humanity trip. This year, we travelled to Bunnell, Florida and worked with the Flagler Habitat for Humanity Affiliate as part of Collegiate Challenge 2015. While in Bunnell, we worked on two different houses and worked alongside both families that would eventually occupy them. The first two days we worked on Annette’s house and put up the vinyl siding and soffit around the entire exterior of the house. Next, we moved on to Andrea’s house, which was just a slab foundation when we arrived. During the final two days, we framed in the exterior walls around the foundation. Additionally, on the final day, we took part in a house dedication for Joy and her family. It was remarkable to see the community support that came out for her dedication! It is such a blessing to witness God’s faithfulness in this process and see the tremendous impact on the homeowner.
