Learning Center Director
As a learning specialist, Laura enjoys helping students identify and find solutions to their learning needs. If writing is your concern, Laura is able to help you through any stage of the process, from planning your paper to its completion. She teaches writing at all levels, and she enjoys teaching and working with learners of English as a foreign language. Laura has worked in the Learning Center since 2005. She holds a master’s degree in English with a focus in creative writing. Laura lives in North Chili, and is married to Tom. They have 7 children and 8 grandchildren. Laura attends Arbor House Free Methodist Church.
Math and Science Learning Specialist and Tutor Program Coordinator
Courtney enjoys working with students to give them extra support to help them succeed in their science and math courses. She teaches chemistry courses for the science department. Courtney has worked in the Learning Center since 2015. She holds a master’s degree in Chemistry. Courtney lives in Penfield. She attends Browncroft Community Church and serves on the worship team and in the family ministry. She is married and has 2 wonderful children.
Coordinator of Services for Students with Disabilities/Academic Learning Specialist
Rhonda has received her Master’s in School Psychology from Roberts Wesleyan. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist who has a passion for helping students with disabilities learn how to be the best they can be. She enjoys giving students the tools needed to be successful in college. Rhonda is able to provide some psychoeducational assessments, if needed. Rhonda currently lives in Canandaigua, NY and attends Vine Valley United Methodist Church. She is happily married and has two adult sons.
Graduate Learning Specialist
Ashley received her undergraduate and graduate training from Roberts Wesleyan College where she is currently in pursuit of her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. As a graduate assistant in the Learning Center, Ashley enjoys supporting students in multiple capacities, including writing tutoring, time management/executive functioning assistance and study skill building. A nationally-certified school psychologist, Ashley additionally conducts psychoeducational evaluations for students who present with learning needs. Ashley also occasionally teaches psychology courses at all levels. She enjoys reading, writing, music and traveling as well as actively serving at First Bible Baptist Church.
Administrative Assistant / CLEP Administrator
Rebecca has worked with the Learning Center since 2019 and lives in Spencerport with her husband and three children. Rebecca loves to garden, sew and crochet. She serves the Lord and her community freely through her many talents, as she did during the 2020 pandemic, making over 2000 masks for others in need.
