This exciting festival challenges students’ musicianship as they work toward putting together a complete program. With some time for food and fun mixed in, you won’t want to miss this fantastic opportunity. Activities will culminate in a live concert in Hale Auditorium and families are encouraged to attend!

Meet the Director

Adam Potter

Dr. Adam Potter

Adam Potter is Director of Choral Activities and Associate Professor of Music at Roberts Wesleyan University in Rochester, New York. At RWU, he conducts The Roberts Chorale, Coro di Voci, and Redhawk Voices, administers the college choral program, mentors choral music education majors, and teaches coursework in conducting vocal music methods, and music education. He earned a Ph.D. in choral conducting and music education from the Florida State University College of Music. A former high school music teacher, he delights in working with high school honor choirs and has guest conducted throughout the United States and in Kenya.

Cost

Early Registration (before January 12th, 2024): $40.00

Regular Registration (ends January 26th, 2024): $50.00

Full scholarships are available on a first-come-first-serve basis to students who qualify for free or reduced lunch. Please have your teacher email music@roberts.edu for more information!

Teacher Recommendation

Attention choir teachers! We are looking for your exceptional and hard-working students to participate in our honors festival. Using our Google Drive form, please submit recommendations for all of your students who choose to apply. You will need to submit one recommendation per student. Your feedback is weighed heavily in the acceptance process. A recommendation for each student is required. Students without a recommendation will not be considered. To submit your recommendations, visit this page. You can also email your recommendations to Sandra Godwin at Godwin_sandra@roberts.edu if that is more convenient.
