"Adopt-A-School is very close to my heart because it is so much more than an afternoon science lesson with a fourth-grade classroom. It’s really a relationship thing where you go in, and you really get to know these children as individuals. You look forward to seeing them as much as they look forward to seeing you, and at the end of the year, no one’s really ready to go home! For me, it’s really encouraging to get to be a part of uplifting these children and, in some small way, helping them believe in their own value and potential as individuals."

"Adopt-a-school was one of the most meaningful activities I participated in this year. Bringing lessons to kids who wouldn't otherwise be learning science yet is challenging, yet so rewarding. We are able to build relationships with these girls and boys that last the whole semester, and our excitement for learning catches on in their classroom! Traveling to School 19 is something I look forward to every week; I think we're as excited to visit the kids as they are to have us come in!"
