Language and Literature

Language and Literature includes the English major as well as General Education courses in writing, literature, Spanish, and American Sign Language. Recognizing that literature reflects human engagement across civilizations throughout history, the English major involves the serious study of Literature -- story, drama, poetry - as well as composition, literary theory, and creative writing.

Language and Literature offers majors in the following: 
A. English, B.A.
B. Adolescence Education English, B.S.

Language and Literature offers minors in the following: 
A. English
B. Gender Studies

• A double major in English and Adolescence Education English is allowed.
