History

The study of history offers one of the best avenues for the ongoing understanding of the past - its people and cultures - and the present. The Roberts history program focuses on European, American, and non-Western history; one of its most important goals is to help students develop that rich and rewarding study of the human past, in all its complexities. As part of the core humanities/liberal arts offerings at the college, History also seeks to develop research and analytical skills needed to communicate informed conclusions about the past.
