Redhawks Who Soar - November 2018

Roberts Wesleyan College is proud of its 18,000+ living alumni. Roberts alumni are working in the fields of healthcare, social work, business, education, non-profits and entrepreneurship – to name a few! After graduation, the soul of Roberts stays with our alumni -- read these short updates to learn more about their lives after college.

Here are this month’s Redhawks Who Soar:

Veronica Dasher’10 (Organizational Management) was recognized as a RBJ Forty Under 40 honoree on Nov. 15 at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center.  Dasher is the Regional Outreach and Development Manager for Avangrid (RG&E).

Darrell Bell’18 (MSL) was recognized as a RBJ Forty Under 40 honoree on Nov. 15 at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center. Bell is the VP for Advancement at Roberts Wesleyan College and Northeastern Seminary.

Lorraine Gibbs’04 (Organizational Management) is the AVP-Contact Center Manager at Generations Bank. Read the full story.

Roger HaskinsIII’99 (Art Studio) was recently promoted to Digital Strategy Supervisor at Dixon Schwabl in Victor, NY. 

Mike McGinnis’11 (Marketing) was recently promoted to Content Marketing Specialist at Dixon Schwabl in Victor, NY. Mike is part of the social media team at the agency.

Joshua Bower’02 (History) is the Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Albany. Prior to that he was the Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Whiteville, NC. After Roberts, Bower went to Princeton Theological Seminary. Read the full story.

Renee Colon’07 (Management), owner of Fuego Coffee Roasters moved the café operations to 1 Woodbury Boulevard in Rochester. The move tripled their seating capacity as well as allows the cafe to expand their menu to include light breakfast and lunch options alongside the coffee that has kept customers coming to their midtown cafe locations since 2013.

Jacqui (Kemp) Stack’13 (Marketing) is the Assistant Director, Marketing and new Student Orientation in the Campus Life department at Rochester Institute of Technology.

Steve Field’78 (Math/Economics) was recently recognized as the New York State Financial Aid Administrator of the Year in Region IV, at the 50th Anniversary New York State Financial Aid Administrators Association conference.

Dustin Eshleman’18 (Management/Entrepreneurship) is a 401K/S125 Service Partner at Paychex.

Rebekah Cornell Hylton’14 (Communication and Media Studies) is a Communication Specialist at Liazon, insurance industry, in Buffalo, NY.  Previously she was a Direct Marketing Specialist with Soleo in Victor, NY.

Katy Martin’15 (Communication) is the Marketing and Communications Manager at Rebuilding Together in Washington D.C.

Caitlynn Berger’16 (Master’s in Social Work) is the school counselor at Bishop Kearney High School.  Read the full story.

Laura Armstrong Kruspe’11 (Master’s in Health Administration) is the Vice President of Contract and Network Management at ICircle Services. Read the full story.

Amy DeMott'08 (Nursing) is the director of Passport Health a the University of Rochester School of Nursing. Read the full story.
