Read about the Work Being Done by Mark Concordia, Associate Professor of Criminal Justice and Director of the Homeland Security & Applied Intelligence Program

Mark Concordia wears many hats at Roberts Wesleyan College.  Mark is Associate Professor of Criminal Justice.  He also serves as the Director of the Homeland Security & Applied Intelligence Program and Director of the Roberts Wesleyan Justice & Security Institute.  Mark is an expert in his field and is a sought-after speaker in the Rochester area.  Below are a few of his recent projects: 

Consulting and Training: 2017 & 2018

  •          Monroe County Sheriff’s Office:  initiative to create a county-wide threat assessment and case management advisory team.
  •          Federal Bureau of Investigation:  threat assessment and team management at the community level.
  •          New York State Department of Homeland Security: threat assessment and team management at the community level.
  •          Federal Bureau of Investigation:  employee training on the interface between FBI employees and members of the community suffering from mental illness.
  •          Fairport Police Department: threat response protocol relating to targeted violence threats and concerns in the K-12 environment.
  •          Fairport School District: threat response protocol and creating a district behavioral intervention team with an emphasis on targeted violence threats and concerns in the K-12 environment.
  •          Greece Police Department:  targeted violence threat response protocol.
  •          Monroe County Sheriff’s Department:  targeted violence threat response protocol and fundamentals of threat assessment and case management.
  •          Irondequoit Police Department:  targeted violence threat response protocol and fundamentals of threat assessment and case management.
  •          Ogdon Police Department:  targeted violence threat response protocol and fundamentals of threat assessment and case management.
  •          East Rochester Police Department:  targeted violence threat response protocol and fundamentals of threat assessment and case management.
  •          Canandaigua Police Department:  threat response protocol and creating a district behavioral intervention team with an emphasis on targeted violence threats and concerns in the K-12 environment.
