Beginning in fall 2022, Roberts Wesleyan College will launch a new Bachelor of Science degree program in business marketing, intentionally designed for adult students 20 years and older who have an associate degree or at least 60 transferable credits. The program was approved by the New York State Education Department and will expand Roberts Wesleyan’s growing business curriculum and course offerings.

The B.S. Business Marketing program is intended for adults and non-traditional students who have an associate degree, an unfinished undergraduate degree or some college experience. To increase flexibility and accessibility to course offerings, the program structure is a mix of online and in-person classes, taken full time or part time via an accelerated eight-week format that can be completed in 12-24 months. Class sizes will be kept to a maximum of 20 students, instilling a sense of community and providing opportunities for focused, personalized instruction.

“Students will earn several certificates throughout the program as tangible proof of their hard skills,” said Meg Hartman, director of degree completion programs and assistant professor of marketing at Roberts Wesleyan College. “They will learn how to set goals and KPIs, build marketing plans and campaigns, identify correct tools for use in those plans and learn how to research, measure, analyze and make recommendations for future plans. What makes this program noteworthy is the emphasis on reflection and finding one's unique marketing voice.”

With an emphasis on a holistic learning approach and enhancing both hard and soft skills, the program will prepare students to excel in roles from entrepreneur, small business owner, to working in corporate marketing positions related to advertising, analysis, marketing strategy and more. Through a creative and ethical lens, students will study consumer behavior, challenges facing marketers and will develop critical thinking skills to be successful in today’s business environment.

While completing their coursework, students will also earn industry certifications embedded in the program from relevant business and marketing development platforms, such as HubSpot Academy. Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared to pursue career paths in advertising, product marketing, public relations, promotions, business development and more.

Enrollment for the program is open and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. To learn more about the Bachelor of Science degree offering in business marketing, click here.
