Laura Scavo loved her position as the Director of the Roberts Wesleyan Learning Center from 2005 - 2024, where she worked with learners and writers in all programs at the university and seminary. Laura's passion is people, so working with students of all levels and abilities brings her great joy, and she considers it an honor to participate in their educational journeys. Laura holds a bachelor's in English, and is certified to teach secondary English, She also holds a Masters in English with a focus on creative writing. She has taught many writing classes for undergraduates, graduates, and ESL classes, working with international students. Laura understands students have differing abilities, and she endeavors to assist each student with their individual strengths and abilities.
Retired now, Laura lives in North Chili with her husband, Tom. In their free time, they love spending time with their 7 children, 11 grandchildren, and friends and family. They enjoy volunteering at the local food pantry and attend Pearce Memorial Church.
