Freshman Admission

Minimum requirements for Regular Freshman admission:

  • High School Grade Point Average (GPA): 2.8 or higher out of 4.0
  • Standardized Test Scores: SAT 940, ACT 18, or CLT 59

Note: Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission into Roberts Wesleyan College. An opportunity for additional testing and/or interview may be required before an admission decision. Applicants with a criminal or disciplinary record will be asked for further information.

To complete the application, applicants should submit the following documents:

  • Common Application or Roberts Application
  • Official high school or college transcripts.
    • To finalize admission, a final transcript must be submitted upon graduation.
  • Official SAT, ACT, or CLT scores. Students with a 3.5 GPA (4.0 scale) may apply under the test-optional admission option.

Test-Optional Admission - If an applicant wants to be considered for test-optional admission, they must submit an English assessment from their English teacher. This admissions policy represents an alternative admission process that allows Roberts to consider academic strengths that may not be captured by standardized test scores (ACT, CLT, or SAT). International students and homeschooled students are not eligible for Test-Optional Admission.

All application documents submitted become the property of Roberts Wesleyan College and cannot be returned to the student or forwarded to another institution.

Applicants who earn college credits while in high school will be evaluated through the freshman admissions process.

Provisional Admission - Provisional Admission allows Roberts to admit applicants who do not meet regular admissions standards. There are limited number of providsional admission offers made each year. Included with a student’s acceptance packet will be an Academic Promise document. The Academic Promise requires the applicant to commit to their success by utilizing the Learning Center Services, meeting sucess-driving requirements and meeting with their academic advisor. Continued enrollment is contingent upon completing these activities.

Provisional Mentor Admission - In very rare cases, there may be circumstances in which a student is admitted underthe Provisional Mentor status. The Provisional Mentor status requires   the admitts student to committ to and sign an Academic Promise, detailed in a document included in the acceptance packet . The Academic Promise requires the applicant to commit to their success by meeting several success-driving requirements, including utilizing Learning Center Services, meet with their academic advisor, and attend weekly meetings with an assigned mentor. Continued enrollment is contingent upon completing these activities.
