Principles of Writing [3]
Students are expected to complete this course within the first two semesters of matriculation.  A minimum grade of C- is required. Some programs require a higher grade in this course.

CMP 102

Writing & Research [3]

Fine Arts^

Choose twoof the following:
ART 101 or a non-liberal arts studio course [2, 3], or FNA 102 [2], or MUS 104 [2]. Two consecutive semesters of specific Music Ensembles may be taken instead of MUS 104.

Foreign Language*

Students must demonstrate proficiency (refer to Foreign Language Proficiency for details).

GED 100^

First-Year Seminar [2]
Required of all first-year students.

Senior Seminar [2]
Required of all seniors.

History

HST 102 Western Civilization I [3] or

In some degree programs, a student may use the same course to meet both a General Education requirement and a major requirement.  When this is permitted, the General Education requirement is noted as "not applicable" on the official check sheet.
