As part of its 25th anniversary season, the Roberts Wesleyan College Community Theatre (RWCCT) presents Shrek the Musical.

Sunday, January 22, 2023 | 2:00 p.m.

Set in a mythical “once upon a time” sort of land, Shrek the Musical is the story of a hulking green ogre who, after being mocked and feared his entire life by anything that crosses his path, retreats to an ugly green swamp to exist in happy isolation. Suddenly, a gang of homeless fairy-tale characters (Pinocchio, Cinderella, the Three Pigs, you name it) raid his sanctuary, saying they’ve been evicted by the vertically challenged Lord Farquaad. So Shrek strikes a deal: I’ll get your homes back, if you give me my home back! But when Shrek and Farquaad meet, the Lord strikes a deal of his own: He’ll give the fairy-tale characters their homes back, if Shrek rescues Princess Fiona. Shrek obliges, yet finds something appealing–something strange and different–about this pretty princess. He likes her. A lot. But why does she always run off when the sun sets?

Knowing God: Pastor Jared Ruddy

Sacred Space Conversations will be focused on creating a brave space where BIPOC students (undergraduate, graduate, non-trad) can engage in healing conversations related to various topics. Past topics include: imposter syndrome, mental health in the BIPOC community, intersecting BIPOC identities, and being a BIPOC student at a PWI. This group is not considered therapy and is open to all, but is facilitated from a therapeutic lens. Sponsored by The Wellness Center

The Academic Scholarship Celebration is an opportunity for high-achieving prospective students to come to campus to compete for both the B.T. Roberts full tuition scholarship as well as a spot in the Global Honors Program. Visitors will have a chance to interact with like-minded prospective students, as well as meet current students and faculty members, learn about the opportunities here at Roberts, and more!
