Piano Discoveries Class

Piano Discoveries Class

Director: Marie Crasta, M.M., University at Buffalo

Piano Discoveries is designed for beginners ages 5-7. It is a group class setting, in contrast to one-on-one private lessons, and it provides a fun, relaxing way to nurture your children's interest in piano learning. The goal of this class is to provide children with the fundamental skills to continue on to future private piano lessons.

Through songs and games, students will explore the piano and learn fundamental piano and musicianship skills. These skills include keyboard geography, proper piano posture and hand position, fingerings, and playing from simple notations that introduce the ideas of pitch, rhythm, dynamics, and tempo.

Do you have a family of young children who would love to participate in another class at the same time? Over the summer, Piano Discoveries is being offered at the same time as our Early Childhood classes.
