Local Olympians to Watch in Paris

Brynn King - Pole Vault

Fifth year student at Roberts Wesleyan University Brynn King qualified for Team USA by clearing 4.73 meters, or 15 feet and 6.25 inches in the women’s pole vault. Her jump at the U.S. Trials topped King’s personal record by two inches and knocked out former silver medalist Sandi Morris, who won her silver medal at the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.

King is coached by Jenn Suhr, who earned two Olympic medals in women’s pole vault. She took silver at the 2008 Olympics in Bejing and gold at the 2012 Olympic games.
