STEM Family Night Camp & Opportunity to Join Jr. Redhawk Science Club

Richard Hagen HeadshotOn May 1, Dr. Richard Hagen and Roberts Wesleyan students presented a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) program at a local elementary school with over 100 students and parents in attendance. The Roberts students from the Department of Biological and Chemical Sciences conducted hands-on experiments with the elementary students and their parents at Fairbanks Road Elementary School in the Churchville-Chili School District.

STEM night is an event that provides an opportunity for families to engage in hands-on activities and demonstrations related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. The event involves a variety of interactive stations and exhibits designed to inspire and educate children and their families about STEM subjects. The activities included robotics, genetics, chemistry, and learning about the natural world. STEM night is an excellent way for families to learn and discover together in a fun and engaging environment.

Dr. Hagen invites the elementary students to sign-up to be part of the Jr. Redhawk Science Club. When they do, they receive experiments to do at home on a regular basis. There will also be opportunities for club members to participate and help in future STEM night events.
