What is the best thing about studying at Roberts?

The best thing is the professors. All my professors are very engaging and care about my success in their courses.

If I have any issues or need to talk with them, they are more than willing to talk with me, and it’s been great having professors who genuinely care about you.

Knowing that I have resources like this has made me enjoy my time pursuing a business degree.

What do you see yourself doing as a career?

The plan is to go into Human Resources. I’ve been interested in this career since high school. I feel I possess the skills to be successful in this field and make an impact in the future.

Tell us about serving as the Multi-Ethnic Affairs Director for SALT!

This is my first year serving as the Multi-Ethnic Affairs Director on campus.

My vision this year is to create safe spaces for students all across campus to feel accepted wherever they go. In doing this, I want to highlight different cultures and how they bring value to our campus.

As an RA, what’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone nervous about living in the dorms?

One piece of advice about living in the dorms is to be open.

Being away from home and being independent for the first time in your life can be a change. But the people in your building, on your floor, are probably experiencing the same thing.

The relationships you build your freshman year are the same ones you can take through all the way to senior year.

What’s your favorite thing about being on the soccer team?

My favorite thing is the team culture. Having guys from all over the world and interacting with them daily has made me a better person.

The men’s soccer team is a brotherhood filled with love, determination, and perseverance.

What advice would you give to incoming freshmen?

One piece of advice I would give to incoming freshmen is to attend every event.

It’s an excellent opportunity to put yourself out there and see what the Roberts community offers. It allows you to meet new people and put yourself out there!

Lindsey Mwene

"He's a stellar business student, not to mention his kind and servant-oriented heart. He's a person to look up to for our undergraduate population. Some of his key strengths are having a genuine interest in those he is interacting with, being personable, his skill with a soccer ball, and his ability to think outside of the box. He has a high standard for personal excellence and integrity, and he's a true delight to have in class."

-Lindsey Mwene, Assistant Professor of Management
