The Gates Chili Chamber of Commerce recognized community members at the 37th Annual Community Awards Gala on Oct. 13 at Brook-Lea Country Club. Carolyn Showers'13 (Organizational Management, B.S.), received the Outstanding Citizen Award recognizing her service to the Gates and Chili area and contributing to the betterment of the community. She was recognized for her management of the Food Pantry at Pearce Church which provides food for those in need in the community.
Showers is an alumna who has a passion for service to others to make a difference in their lives. She is a shining example to us all!
