Roberts Springboards Ahead: First Diver Joins Swimming & Diving Team

Emma Dicob Signing

Roberts Wesleyan College announces the signing of Emma Dicob, as the first diver in the Roberts Swimming and Diving program's history. Dicob, a stand-out diver from Beaver River High School, joins the Redhawks from Lewis County. Roberts started the Swimming and Diving program in 2017 and has seen substantial growth in the swimming events since its inception.

"I am thrilled to have our first diver join our program and am excited that Emma, and her parents, have put their trust in the College and our coaching staff to ensure that she continues to grow and excel individually, athletically and academically," said Head Coach Sara Smith. "Signing Emma is monumental and a catalyst for the continued growth of the program at Roberts." Emma joins the Redhawk Swimming and Diving class of 2026 along with eight other top-notch swimmers. "We cannot wait to see how she makes a splash into NCAA Division II diving!"

Dicob is a three-time New York state qualifier with an 11-dive score of 448, a score that would have placed her at the top of the Metropolitan Conference while qualifying her for the NCAA Division II Championship meet during the 2021-2022 season.

Dicob will study Early Childhood Education. She fell in love with the campus on her tour and felt the Swimming & Diving coaching staff would help her grow as a person and an athlete. After visiting, Dicob "dove right in" as she knew Roberts was the right choice!
