Growing Up in The Family of God

Judy L. Wright ‘81 (Social Work) published the book “Growing Up in The Family of God”. These are short devotionals taking childhood events and relating them to how God responds to us. They have been used for adult Bible studies yet are simple enough for children to understand. Wright also published a short book of poetry in 2016. Both are illustrated by Carol Cooley Payton and both are available at Amazon or Barnes & Noble.


Obituaries

Robert G. Graue

Robert G. Graue ‘67 age 76 of Memphis, Tenn., passed away on Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, after a long, courageous battle with ill health. A native of Western New York state, he graduated from Corfu High School and the State University of New York at Brockport. After college, he taught Afro-Asian studies and coached cross country and wrestling at Barker Central High School in Barker, N.Y. He was also a volunteer fireman for the village of Corfu. Although he was an excellent teacher, he was attracted to police work. He was accepted for training by the Tags Bdn Obituaries Obituaries Memphis Police Department. He and his wife, Theresa, moved to Memphis, Tenn. His years of service were spent in a variety of duties in several precincts. The longest was with interstate patrol, where he investigated fatal-critical vehicle accidents. He was a competent, upstanding officer dedicated to his work. He served for 34 years and retired at the rank of Lieutenant. In retirement, he enjoyed travel, boating, fishing, and took pride in keeping a beautiful yard. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren. His dog friend, Oscar, also had a special place in his heart. He is predeceased by his mother, Gertrude V. Graue, and father, Herman Ludwig Graue. He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa; sons, Brian Graue (Natalie), Christopher Graue (Carrie); grandchildren, Leslie, Landon, Hannah, and Michael Graue. Other survivors include his sisters, Diane Manley (Earl), Mary Lancaster (Jack); six nephews; one niece; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
