Alumni on the Move

Kyle Preston ’19 (Accounting) is a Financial Consultant at ESL. Previously he was a Financial Service Representative. Preston also volunteers his time as an assistant with the Caledonia-Mumford boys’ varsity basketball team.

Benjamin Reeves ‘02 (Management, M.S.) was named the new Indianola (Iowa) city manager effective Mar 23. Reeves has 18 years of experience serving the public sector and most recently was the City Manager for Santaquin City, Utah. Read the story.

Grace Mead'13 (Organizational Management) is a Relationship Manager with The Trust Company of Tennessee in Knoxville. Previously, she was a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones and provided support and financial planning services to 200 clients. Mead also serves as the board vice chair for the Child Advocacy Center of Anderson County.

Alumni Teacher Creates Programs for Play and Staying Fit

Blake Cunningham ’12 (Physical Education) is a physical education teacher at Elon Park Elementary in Charlotte, North Carolina. Cunningham recently started For the Love of Play. The program focuses on helping schools in the community plan out and paint their recess areas for more active engagements of students. He also has a website P.E. with Mr. C which is a one stop shop for active games, movement ideas and fun/interactive ways to stay fit at home.

Cunningham, who received Elon Park’s Teacher of the year in January 2021, recently shared this feedback with Professor of Education; Director, Physical Education Program, Elaine Gregory:

“I wanted to write to you to let you know, none of this could have happened without you and your program at Roberts. Without your support and guidance I may not be where I am right now. So thank you!!!”
