Congratulations to the 2021-2022 Presser Scholarship Recipient Susan Dantoni

The Presser Scholarship is Awarded to a Music Student  who exemplifies high academic and musical accomplishment, leadership and citizenship.

Roberts Wesleyan College is pleased to announce that junior Music Performance major Susan Dantoni has been named the 2021-2022 Theodore Presser Scholarship recipient. Dantoni will perform a solo recital Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. in Hale Auditorium which is in the Howard Stowe Roberts Cultural Life Center.

The Presser Foundation has over 76 years of music philanthropy and the Presser Scholar award is given to an outstanding music major at the end of their junior year. The student is selected by the music faculty, with the choice of the recipient guided solely by consideration of academic and musical excellence and merit. Accompanied by a grant provided by The Theodore Presser Foundation, the $4,000 award is prestigious and recognizes excellence.

Dantoni, who is majoring in piano performance, is the collaborative accompanist for the Roberts Chorale, Women’s Choir, the opera production and various student recitals.  Additionally, she plays flute in the Wind Ensemble and Flute Choir and tutors music students.

This event is free and open to the public. Attendees should use the College’s Buffalo Road main entrance and park in Lot C.
