Alumni Spotlight: Charlene J. Ludlow'07 (Health Administration, M.S.)

Charlene Ludlow

Charlene J. Ludlow'07 (Health Administration, M.S.), BSN, MHA, CIC, will be Senior Vice President of Nursing for Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) Corporation effective March 1. Ludlow has been with ECMC for 19 years and has been instrumental in acquiring accreditations and the support of nursing.

Ludlow most recently served as Vice President and Chief Quality & Safety Officer at ECMC, where she where she is responsible for the facility-wide Quality & Patient Safety program. Ludlow has chaired the institution’s internal COVID Task Force since the onset of the pandemic in spring 2020, has overseen Patient Safety and EOC Management (Environmental Services, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Plant Operations/Construction and Emergency Preparedness). She was also responsible for Joint Commission Accreditation and Regulatory.

She has 33 years experience as a registered nurse, 25 years in infection prevention and seven years in patient safety. Ludlow graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College with a M.S. in Healthcare Administration.
