Share thisAlumni Spotlight: Kate Valcin ‘96 (Nursing) and Michele Schirano’ 05 (Mod RN)
Forty-one winners have been selected for the Rochester Business Journal's Health Care Heroes awards including two Roberts Wesleyan College alumni. The Rochester Business Journal created Health Care Heroes to recognize excellence, promote innovation and honor the efforts of organizations and inpiduals making a significant impact on the quality of health care in the Rochester area.
Kate Valcin'96 (Nursing) was one of three nurses selected in the Nurse category. Kate works at University of Rochester Medical Center as the Director of Adult Critical Care Nursing. Valcin has a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Duke University School of Nursing and a DNP from University of Rochester School of Nursing.
Michele Schirano'05 (MOD RN) was a winner in the Senior Care category. Michele is the Senior Vice President/Administrator at the Jewish Home of Rochester. She has been with the Jewish Home for more than 20 years.
