Alumni Spotlight: Allison Boudrias’15, ’16 (Childhood/Special Education, M.Ed. Literacy)

The opportunity to teach abroad is not only a teaching experience, it's an adventure! In August 2018, Allison Boudrias moved to Wroclaw, Poland to work as a 1st Grade homeroom teacher at International Primary School (IPS). IPS is a Cambridge and an IB (International Baccalaureate) certified school. The school has close to three-hundred students from around eighteen different countries.

Over the past three years, Boudrias has moved with her students from first to third grade, and has had eight different countries represented in her classroom. Currently, all her students are English Language Learners. "I love working in a diverse environment and regularly learning about different countries and cultures," she said. "Since moving to Poland, I've been able to travel and visit at least seven different countries. It's been an enriching experience and I look forward to more adventures soon."
