Fall Leadership Breakfast Focuses on the Role of Risk in Leadership

More than 100 people joined via Zoom for our Fall Leadership Breakfast with the event’s panelists CDS Life Transitions President & CEO Sankar Sewnauth, Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School President Dr. Angela D. Sims and Kodak Chief Technical Officer & Senior Vice President Dr. Terry R. Taber.

The discussion examined the role of risk in leadership with a focus on how taking calculated risks helped the panelists move their organizations forward. One surprising piece of advice was the focus each panelist placed on the people in their organizations and how important it is to manage risk for people, have diverse teams that provide diverse advice and feedback when considering risks and including what we learn from risks – both when we succeed and when we fail. Attendees enjoyed the virtual format that included breakout sessions, which gave and the chance to both network and discuss their learning with other attendees and panelists.

With a great mix of community leaders, business executives and Roberts Wesleyan faculty and staff, the morning was a perfect chance to examine risk in leadership and network with the panelists and attendees.

Watch the panel discussion.

We are working out the details of our next leadership breakfast and will publicize registration and topic closer to the event.
