Palmer, Chair of the Board, Named 2020 Icon Honoree

Dwight M. (Kip) Palmer, Palmer Family of Companies and Chair of the Board at Roberts Wesleyan College and Northeastern Seminary was named a 2020 Icon Honoree. The Icon award honors individuals over the age of 60 who have a well established commitment to the Rochester business community as well as notable professional accomplishments through innovation and leadership.  The honorees are also champions of their industries and demonstrate a long-standing commitment to community service. The winners will be honored Dec. 7 at a virtual celebration from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Palmer has served multiple terms on the board of trustees since 1997. He has been integral in the college’s strategic plan.

As a fifth-generation leader of Rochester-based Palmer Family of Companies, he serves as CEO and oversees nearly 200 employees and millions of dollars in sales each year. Palmer contributes his time and resources on a variety of local charitable and business organizations. He received a B.A. from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.
