Effective September 14, Angel Lawrence'04 (Social Work, M.S.W.) will be the executive director of the Northeast Community Fund in Decatur, Illinois.
Lawrence has a Master of Social Work from Roberts Wesleyan College. She has spent her career in social service, including extensive work with the development and supervision of Closing the Gap, an initiative providing students in Buffalo, New York, with social and emotional support to improve students' ability to achieve academic success.
Since 1969, Northeast Community Fund has worked to assist needy families in the Decatur and Macon County community with the resources available in a caring and Christ-like manner.
