As the calendar year comes to a close, President Porterfield recalls B.T. and Ellen Roberts' vision for an institution anchored in faith and engaged in the world. Though their beliefs (abolitionism, women in leadership, and ability to attend church at no cost) weren't popular at the time, it reminds us that doing the right thing isn't always easy. At Roberts Wesleyan College, we strive to live out their vision, using our head, heart and hands to make a difference in our community.
