New Educational Partnership with RIT

Roberts Wesleyan College is excited to announce a new educational partnership with the Rochester Institute of Technology. The partnership allows RIT students to graduate from RIT’s College of Liberal Arts, College of Science, or the School of Individualized Study, and then pursue a master’s degree in education at a discounted rate through Roberts Wesleyan College. Students will also have their initial teaching certification in New York State at the end of the program.

“As we work to prepare highly-qualified teachers and build partnerships in our area, we are excited about this opportunity with RIT. Not only does the partnership help meet the needs of RIT students who would like to become teachers, but it helps us meet the needs of the education industry in producing more and better educators,” said Kristen Nielsen, recruitment manager for teacher education at Roberts Wesleyan College. “An undergraduate RIT education combined with the time-shortened education programs at Roberts Wesleyan provides aspiring teachers access to an affordable way to achieve their bachelor’s and master’s degree in just over five years.”
