Literacy and Science

Each summer the Teacher Education Department provides a literacy camp for children in the Rochester area. This summer Michael Schillaci, assistant professor of physics, participated with the program. His primary role was for science content.  The students included a wide range of kids - from 8 to 15 - and learning abilities.  As part of the science hands on experience,  Professor Schillaci, worked with the students to create a robot using the Lego Mindstorms.
