Olympian Suhr'04 Honored In Hometown

Jenn Suhr

In 2012, Jennifer Suhr’04 (Psychology) earned a gold medal in the indoor pole vault. One decade later, Suhr was honored in her hometown of Fredonia with a monument.

The ceremony took place September 10th during Fredonia’s Red, White, and Blues Festival. Suhr and her husband, Rick, traveled back home for a brief ceremony.

Suhr retired in June 2022. She stands as the only vaulter in U.S. track and field history to win three Olympic trials.

Suhr stated in a past interview, “When I go back to Roberts, I see professors and administrators from years ago and it's like I haven't missed a beat. I can walk into Bob (Segave's) office, sit down and grab a piece of candy and catch up. Those are things that you don't get at other colleges."
