Pam Braman

Roberts Wesleyan College will celebrate its spring commencement on Saturday, May 14, recognizing the academic achievement of 581 students receiving undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees. The college will welcome family members, friends, faculty and staff to attend a series of three in-person graduation ceremonies in the Voller Athletic Center on campus. Each ceremony is designated by undergraduate or graduate level and by adult and graduate degree program.

  • 9 a.m. — Traditional Undergraduates and BELL Students
  • 1 p.m. — Adult and Graduate Group 1: School of Teacher Education and Social Work
  • 4:30 p.m. — Adult and Graduate (AGE) Group 2: School of Business, Arts & Culture, A.S., School of Nursing, and Department of Psychology

The traditional undergraduate ceremony will also recognize the accomplishments of five students from the Bridge to Earning, Learning and Living (BELL) program, an inclusive postsecondary certificate program for students age 18-26 with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The BELL program focuses on authentic inclusive experiences that provide academic enrichment, socialization, and the acquisition of life and vocational skills necessary for sustainable and gainful employment upon graduation.

Pamela J. H. Braman, superintendent of the Genesis Conference of the Free Methodist Church, will deliver the keynote address. Serving a network of Free Methodist churches throughout Western and Central New York, and Central Pennsylvania, the Genesis Conference supports transformational training, ordainment and developmental resources to existing and newly created ministries. As superintendent, she is responsible for leading its annual conference and empowering the 60 Genesis churches through collaborative efforts of appointing pastors and providing resources and training to church leaders regarding policy and administration. Prior to joining the Genesis Conference, Braman served as a pastor, church planter, and nonprofit leader in St. Paul, Minnesota. She holds a master’s degree in religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a Doctor of Ministry in leadership and spiritual formation from George Fox University.

To accommodate guests unable to attend in person, the college will also broadcast each commencement ceremony online. More details about each ceremony, including how to tune in virtually, are available on the 2022 commencement page.
