Alumni Spotlight: Todd Daningburg ’86 (Religion-Philosophy) – New Lead Pastor at Pearce Memorial Church

Pastor Todd Daningburg recently began his tenure as Lead Pastor of Pearce Memorial Free Methodist Church.  The son of a Free Methodist minister and Roberts Wesleyan College alumni parents, Todd is returning to a place with much personal history.

As a student at Roberts Wesleyan College, Pastor Todd attended chapel services in Parmerter Chapel.  It was there where he helped to lead worship and where he was encouraged in his faith and call to ministry by people like Dean LeRoy Kettinger.  While at Roberts, he served on student ministry teams and was involved in student government.

Pastor Todd is excited to help Pearce connect with the community and become a place where people will be encouraged to go on a vital spiritual journey.  He is looking forward to being a resource for current members, but also for anyone who needs support.

Pastor Todd says, “Pearce is a faith community that is ready for God to do new things.  The challenges of the COVID pandemic have offered the opportunity to take a fresh look at who we are and the role of Pearce in the region.  We want to be community-minded, and that extends to the Roberts campus, the families in N. Chili, and beyond.  There are over 70,000 people in the immediate communities surrounding Pearce.  Those individuals represent everyone from long-time members of the area, to young families, to those in desperate need, to people from diverse backgrounds, and Pearce needs to reflect them all.”

Pastor Todd brings over 26 years of experience.  He went on from Roberts to complete degrees at Asbury Theological Seminary, including a Doctorate of Ministry.  He has pastored for two stints at the Valley Chapel Free Methodist Church in Warsaw, NY where he oversaw the construction of a new facility and developed a vital partnership that brought renewal to churches in Perry and Dansville.  Pastor Todd has also taught as an adjunct at both Roberts Wesleyan College and Northeastern Seminary and looks forward to strengthening the relationships between the institutions and Pearce.

Pastor Todd is married to his wife of 35 years, Jeanne ’85 (English).  They have two children, Rachel ’14 (Studio Art) and Karl.
