In Remembrance: Doris Curtis

Doris Curtis, long-time employee of Roberts, passed away, August 22. She is survived by her husband David '66, son Mark ‘92 (Charity ‘92); daughter Michelle ’95 (Shawn ‘96); grand daughter-in-law Honna '11.

Doris served for 28 years at Roberts Wesleyan College (1978-2006). She started as a Secretary for Student Activities.  In 1986, she transferred to the Department of Athletics, where she faithfully served Athletic Directors, Ken Sisson and later Mike Faro. During her tenure, Doris saw much growth and progress in the Department of Athletics but probably none so great as the opening of the Life Fitness Center (now the Voller Athletic Center) in 1987.

Former Director of Athletics Mike Faro recalled, "Doris was a longtime secretary for the Athletics Department. She was faithful, hardworking, and a devoted servant to the department for many years." "The Redhawks family extends their deepest sympathy to Dave and the Curtis family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you," said Athletic Director, Bob Segave.

Doris and her husband Dave were faithful fans and supporters of the Redhawks and members of the Heritage Society.
