Redhawks Who Soar - August 2020

Roberts Wesleyan College is proud of its nearly 19,000 living alumni who are working in the fields of healthcare, social work, business, education, ministry, non-profits and entrepreneurship – to name a few!

These alumni from the 2019-2020 school year are soaring! These graduates from Roberts have been admitted to professional schools for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year and two have completed the joint Roberts Wesleyan College/Rochester General medical technology program:

  • Michael Roll’19 (Biochemistry), Temple University School of Medicine, Bethlehem Branch, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
  • Nathan Cannon’20 (Physics),Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine, Hershey, Pennsylvania.
  • Ava Harrington’20 (Biochemistry), Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Erie, Pennsylvania.
  • Genevieve Palmer’20 (Biology), Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Erie, Pennsylvania.
  • Sarah Brackett’20 (Biology), University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine, Columbia, Missouri.
  • Amber Cavellier’20 (Medical Technology), completed the Medical Technology Rochester General (Roberts 3 + 1 program) to become a licensed medical technologist.
  • Kaleigh R. Daggs’20 (Medical Technology), completed the Medical Technology Rochester General (Roberts 3 + 1) program to become a licensed medical technologist.

We love to see our alumni doing great things including:

Gisela Ocasio Quinones, DO’13 (Biology and Religion & Philosophy) is currently completing her residency at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital for Healthcare in Lansing, Michigan and started a fellowship in Gastroenterology in July 2020. Ocasio is the first Hispanic student at Roberts to complete a DO degree. After Roberts, she completed her Doctor of Osteopathic (D0) Medicine at Liberty University.

Kathy Phelps, ‘15 (MSMK) is the Assistant Director of Donor Engagement for the Monroe Community College Foundation. In this role she supports the Foundation’s marketing and communications initiatives and other strategies for relationships with alumni, benefactor’s and prospects. She also plans their signature events.

Sean Leduc’18 (Business Management and Social Entrepreneurship) is an account manager at FCT in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  The company provides title insurance, residential & commercial real estate and debt recovery solutions.

Mark Mutton’12’18 (OM, MSL) is a Business Development Associate at Alliance Advisory Group, Inc. in Rochester. In this role he supports clients to reach financial objectives and make informed financial decisions to reflect their unique values and goals.

John Wellington’18 (Sports Management and Coaching) joined Roberts Wesleyan College as the Assistant Lacrosse Coach.
