Congrats Class of 2020!

Roberts Wesleyan College will host the Spring 2020 Commencement Virtual Ceremonies on June 13, 2020. We will recognize our 720 Roberts undergraduate and graduate students who will receive their degrees:

  • 244 traditional undergraduates
  • 5 BELL students
  • 471 adult bachelor's degree completion and graduate students
  • For the first time, 6 doctorates

The virtual commencement ceremonies will be streamed on YouTube and Facebook at the designated times and will be about an hour in length.

  • Traditional Undergraduate and B.E.L.L. at 11:00 am
    • Class Speaker, Margilyn Stauble, B.S. Nursing
    • Scripture Reader, Shelly D. Boyde, B.S. Social Work
  • Adult and Graduate Education at 1:00 pm
    • Class Speaker, Julia Robin Vitale, Psy.D. Clinical School Psychology
    • Scripture Reader, Justin P. Rosie, RN-BS Nursing

Dr. Lesli Myers-Small will be the commencement speaker. Dr. Myers-Small is the new superintendent for the Rochester City School District. She is the first African American woman to hold that position in Rochester. Myers-Small is a Rochester native and began her career in education as a guidance counselor and intervention specialist. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and her master’s degree in counseling from the University of Rochester. She holds a master’s in Urban Educational Administration and her Doctorate of Education in Executive Leadership St. John Fisher College.

The graduating class included students from 13 countries, including Australia, Burundi, Canada, Cayman Islands, China, Colombia, Congo, Ghana, Haiti, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, St. Lucia and Zimbabwe.
