Roberts Welcomes New Campus Pastor

Roberts Wesleyan College is pleased to announce that Reverend Gerald Coleman accepted the position of Campus Pastor, effective today. In this role, he will be responsible for the spiritual formation and chapel programs for undergraduate students and will support the entire campus community through worship, caring, service projects and faith building events. 

“I am delighted that Pastor Coleman will serve in this position that is central to our purpose as a Christian college,” said vice president for student and organizational development and chief diversity officer, Ruth Logan.  “We believe his experience and passion is an ideal match with the College’s commitment to scholarship, spiritual formation, and service among a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff.”

Coleman was most recently the Discipleship Pastor at Grace Community Church in Detroit, Michigan. His specialties include mentoring, counseling, curriculum designing, teaching, preach and leadership development. He earned a bachelor’s degree in religion and philosophy in 2003 and is nearing completion of his Master of Divinity from Northeastern Seminary.
