Guest Clarinet Soloist, Alice Meyer to Perform with RWC Wind Ensemble!

Alice Meyer, clarinet professor at Roberts Wesleyan College, is performing as a guest soloist with the Roberts Wesleyan College Wind Ensemble this Friday, April 21st in Hale Auditorium. She will be the clarinet soloist in Concerto for Clarinet and Wind Ensemble, a piece by Frank Ticheli.

Aside from teaching at Roberts, Alice is a member of the woodwind faculty of the Csehy Summer School of Music and a member of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra Clarinet Section. She also plays with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Syracuse Symphoria.  She performs frequently throughout the Rochester area, and has performed with colleague Michael Landrum at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster, PA.  Meyer received both her Master of Arts Degree in Pedagogy of Music Theory and Bachelor of Music Degree in Applied Music and Performer’s Certificate in Clarinet from the Eastman School of Music. Her teachers include D. Stanley Hasty, Daniel Johnston, and Richard Joiner. She lives with her husband, David, in North Chili. They have 5 children and one granddaughter.

Come hear Alice Meyer perform a show-stopping Ticheli clarinet concerto on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 7:30pm in Hale Auditorium! All of the RWC Wind Ensemble concerts are free and open to the public. No tickets are required.
