Share thisLauren Dixon to Deliver Winter 2015 Commencement Address Dec. 12
Lauren Dixon, CEO of Dixon Schwabl, will deliver the keynote address at Roberts Wesleyan College’s winter commencement ceremony. The event will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, in the Howard Stowe Roberts Cultural Life Center on campus. Nearly 175 students will receive undergraduate and graduate degrees, and family members, friends, faculty and staff will be on hand to celebrate commencement and listen to Dixon’s presentation.
“We are honored to have our dear friend Lauren Dixon as our commencement speaker this winter,” Roberts President Dr. Deana L. Porterfield said. “She has a remarkable professional story, and we know that she will inspire our students to go into the world with passion and purpose.”
Dixon oversees a full-service marketing communications firm with more than 100 employees and billings in excess of $52 million. She has full responsibility for agency performance, including bottom-line factors, such as long-range strategic planning and company vision and culture. The agency’s culture and leadership have been recognized with national awards, including being named one of the Best Small Companies to Work for in America for 11 consecutive years, including ranking No. 1 twice. In 2013, Dixon and her husband, Mike Schwabl, were inducted into the Rochester Business Hall of Fame.
She serves on a number of boards, including the United Way Women’s Leadership Council, Thompson Health Foundation board and the Rochester Business Alliance board.
