Profile

Since joining Roberts Wesleyan University in 2019, Sharon Kurtz has brought expertise in obstetrics, gynecology, labor and delivery, and neonatal nursing to the classroom. She holds certifications in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB), Maternal Newborn Nursing (RNC-MNN), Low Risk Neonatal Nursing (RNC-LRN), Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM), and is a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC).

Sharon is an active member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nursing (AWHONN) and Sigma Theta Tau. On campus, she serves on the Faculty Senate, Student Success & Retention Committee, and Academic Integrity Committee, and contributes to the Sigma Theta Tau - Tau Xi Chapter Committee.

Outside of teaching, she enjoys playing yard games and cards, attending dance and theater productions, and riding ATVs with her kids.
