Martha Majsak

Adjunct Professor of Composition

Profile

Martha Majsak has been working as a professor for 24 years, teaching courses at multiple universities in subjects ranging from Research, Composition, and Literature, to Communication and History. She also owned a successful tutoring business for over 15 years where she had an opportunity to work one-on-one with high school and college students. She also has been a reader for the AP English Language exam for over 20 years.

Her background is diverse as she worked in the theater industry in New York City for many years after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from the State University of New York. She then received a Master of Arts in Writing from Manhattanville College and continues to pursue her love of writing and she attended the 2019 Bread Loaf Writers Conference and the 2021 Community of Writers Summer Workshop. In addition to having many of her short stories published, she won the Pinch Magazine Fiction award for short fiction and received an Honorable Mention in the 47th New Millennium Writing Awards.

As an adjunct at Roberts Wesleyan University, she is happy to continue to make a difference in the lives of her students, helping them on their educational paths, and opening them up to new ideas.
