We all struggle at times because life can be messy. The good news is that you don't have to go through it alone and there is always hope and support. My goal in therapy is to partner with you to reach your goals.

My approach to therapy is guided by the following principles:

Each person has innate value - You are not defined by your problems/struggles, how others perceive you, or your circumstances. You deserve the opportunity to be the best you that you can be.

Each person is unique - Since everyone has a unique blend of personality traits, strengths, interests, talents, and experiences, therefore my therapeutic approach is tailored to you as an individual.

Each person is an expert in themselves - I have you take an active role in your own therapy. You know yourself best: your strengths, your needs, and your experiences. As a university student, a lot could be changing in your life - including how you define yourself in relation to the environment and people around you. This is a normal experience for a significant life transition. Talking with a counselor can help with these adjustments.

Each person has the ability to change - As time passes and we experience life, we change. Through therapy, each person can build a foundation of how to develop self-awareness and develop skills to foster positive changes and growth. As a university student, you are in a unique position to learn skills that can be applied to the rest of your life to facilitate healthy growth in all areas of life.

I have over 15 years of experience working with youth, families, and those struggling with substance use. I use a blend of complementary approaches that is unique to each person I work with that can help you identify changes that you can make to reach your goals, including psychoeducation, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution focused therapy.

Personal Interests: I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my kids explore their interests. Other hobbies and interests include drinking coffee, reading/audiobooks, listening to music, and spending time with God.
