Erika Marcucci is a flutist and music educator located in Rochester, NY. Prior to moving to Rochester, she received two Associates degrees in Music Performing Arts and Music Audio Technology from Schenectady County Community College. Erika then graduated from Nazareth College where she received her Bachelors of Music in Music Performance and Music Education, as well as her Masters of Music in Music Performance and Pedagogy. Her primary teachers have been Rebecca Gilbert and Norman Thibodeau, in addition to taking secondary bassoon lessons with Dr. Keith Koster.

Because of her love of music and performance, she has been a participant in many chamber ensembles, wind ensembles, orchestras, and solo recitals. In 2020, Erika was a featured soloist with the Nazareth College Symphony Orchestra after winning the college’s Concerto.Aria Competition and, in 2022, was the principal flutist for the Nazareth College Wind Symphony Ireland Tour. She has also been a masterclass participant with Marianne Gedigian and Brendan Ryan.

Currently, Erika is a general music and band teacher in the Rochester City School District, and she is also the current Communications Director for the Rochester Flute Association. Erika is an active member of the Perinton Concert Band and the Rochester Flute Association Flute Choir. Additionally, she teaches out of her private studio and has taught a variety of woodwind instruments.
