As a pastor who values theological education, it is a joy and a privilege to teach scripture and ministry in the college setting. Understanding interpretive approaches to scripture and the theological foundations for ministry not only supports me as a pastor, but also builds my personal understanding of living the Christian life.

I find fulfillment in witnessing students grow in knowledge and the ability to think critically about their faith and what it means to live faithfully in the world. As a pastor who both teaches and practices ministry, I learn and grow as I continue to incorporate what I teach in my own practice. Students benefit from the continual merging of theory and practices.

If you can’t find me at church or school, I’m probably somewhere appreciating the awesomeness of my wonderfully talented children or perhaps playing a bit of not very competitive tennis.
